Double check on being the corniest guy she'd ever met. But if Peter was going to be a fake boyfriend he was going to be a good one. Or what he thought passed for a good boyfriend, it was hard to tell without ever having been one. Besides, maybe she was worth waiting for, who was he to judge that? Fake-boyfriend didn't really grant you any rights.

Peter let her sort of just lead him toward the sporting goods store. The fact that she was so comfortable with this whole situation was a little unnerving. Like... what kind of person was good with weapons while a teenager besides like.. Black Widow? Holy crap, was his fake-girlfriend like Black Widow? Man, Peter really wished he had taken time to learn how literal that code name was in case he ever fake dated someone that might have also been a Black Widow. His life was super weird.

"Yeah, I mean... I've used some in my time," he said. While Peter didn't have any of his powers at least he didn't go back to his super scrawny nerd body. Like... he was pretty sure he was in reasonably good shape for a teenage guy? "You know how much I prefer building stuff though. Tinkering with electronic and mechanical things. I could probably modify our weapons to make them more effective."
