There's no big open skylights immediately above them, just lofted ceilings and fluorescent lights, but it's not hard to imagine that unearthly thick mist lolling about just outside the walls of the building. Stuck my nose out before the fog got all the way up to the glass. Ain't been stupid enough to try since. Other people seem happy enough to do it for me. [Two out of three of those being mostly untrue, so hopefully he's keeping ahead of the curve to stave off the chest pain and headaches that would strike otherwise. He's too damn sick of it to bother being rebellious.]
They probably live in some kinda poison for us. It's just weird that it ain't in here already. Might be a good time to look for gas masks or filters or something in the stores.
