Well, that's an answer with more personality to it than anything else she's heard from a clerk today, and she can appreciate that. She might almost be willing to believe that this person is in a similar situation to her own, but why would the Powers That Be here want to put one of their stolen people behind a cash register?

"Awesome. Makes this a lot easier. I could use a break from the usual stealthy thief nonsense." There's the lie, as she's not a thief at all and has in fact proven herself to be terrible at such tasks. But it's not like some random NPC store employee is going to care about any of that, right?
