It kinda sucks being surrounded by stores and not actually having any money. Then again, for as weird as most of the 'shoppers' and 'clerks' around here are acting, she might not need any money at all. They certainly don't seem to care one way or another.

She shouldn't be interacting with anyone anyway, given the role she's apparently supposed to stick to, but she's never going to learn anything if she hides away in a corner the whole time. So here she is, striding into Macy's with a trade paperback stolen from the comic store upstairs stuck under one arm. The scanners at the door don't even go off as she enters. Either they don't work or they only work with Macy's inventory.

"Hey." She approaches the woman at the counter, expecting her to be just as distant as the other employees she's tried to talk to. "You're okay if I just grab a couple sweaters off the racks, right? Thanks."
