[ He pushes himself inside. The gap which he squeezes in through feels as if its tight enough that even his heart was being squeezed as he wiggled between the door and frame. Once inside he steps behind her and pushes the door closed, with arms around her, and once its shut he turns from her backside to push his back against the door while he looks ahead into the mall. He can see others have come to watch with worried expressions but it’s not them he’s really looking at. Rather, he still sees the image of the split-body that flew past him and hears the whistle and thump as it struck the door.
He doesn’t linger there long and he steps forward and turns his body again to face the door and the woman. He’s hardly caught his breath but he thanks her all the same. ]
