Dean nodded slowly. "Right, a comic book." He gestured the other gentleman toward the screen where the Spider-Man was swinging between two shining New York skyscrapers on a shining thread. Maguire's riveting performance as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man was so much bigger than "pulp comic series" (in Dean's opinion at least).

"So, uh this kid, Peter Parker, was bitten by a spider and, um became a crime-fighting hero with some of the abilities of a spider." He smiled as Spider-Man unmasked himself, revealing Peter. "But it's really about his identity, you know? Maybe like the Bob Seger book?"
